Join the UCLA Asian American Studies Center, UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, and California AAPI Legislative Caucus for the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Policy Summit on Friday, February 10, 2023 at the Luskin Conference Center.
As we climb out of the COVID-19 pandemic, we stand at a critical moment in history to reimagine California by developing solutions that establish more equitable institutions, policies, and systems that work toward social justice for all. The AAPI Policy Summit will bring together researchers, students, community, government, corporate, and academic leaders to have in-depth conversations about topics that are timely, shed new light on issues, and have ideas and recommendations that are actionable. In particular, we will look toward how to create a future that is inclusive of Asian American and Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander communities. Register today and join us for this important convening.
Topics and speakers will focus on a range of topics:
- AAPI Leaders in Corporate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Addressing the Gaps in Healthcare and Mental Health
- Making a Way Out of No Way: Addressing Needs of Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders
- Advancing AANHPI Data Equity and Disaggregation
- Challenges and Opportunities in Implementing Ethnic Studies and Asian American Studies Requirements
- Combating Anti-Asian Hate
- Developing Inclusive Immigrant Protections and Policies
- Economic Recovery: Housing, Employment, Small Businesses and Food Insecurity
- Philanthropy and Equitable Giving in AANHPI Communities
