Join us for a screening of the digital adaptation of "We Gon' Be Alright," Jeff Chang's critically acclaimed collection of essays on racial resegregation, followed by a dialogue with the author and filmmakers. The docuseries produced for PBS' Indie Lens Storycast examines how a nation that has historically embraced diversity has allowed itself to resegregate along racial and economic class lines — and how Americans can come together in ways that offer hope beyond the divide.

Screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring: Jeff Chang, author; Kimmie Kim, producer & showrunner; Bao Nguyen, producer & director.

Organized by UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. Co-sponsored by UCLA Asian American Studies Center, UCLA Center for EthnoCommunications, UCLA Ralph J. Bunche Center for African American Studies, UCLA Luskin Undergraduate Program, and Visual Communications.
