The Center will sponsor a Conference on Asian American Labor history during the 1977-78 academic year.

 

Asian Fall Scheduled

The annual Asian Fall Orientation for new students will take place on Thursday, October 6, at the UCLA Alumni and Development Center.

 

New Journal Issue

The Asian American Studies Center announces the publication of Amerasia Journal, Vol. 4, No. 1.

 

Women’s Group to Start Third Year

The Asian Women’s Rap Group will be kicking off its third year this coming October.

 

Ethnic Serials List Available

Ethnic Serials, A Union List, a compilation of ethnic materials available collectively on eight University of California campuses and the William Andrews Clark Library (in Los Angeles), is now available.

 

Intro course Offered

This quarter’s course offering is Asian American Studies 100A, “Introduction to Asian American Studies.”

 

Asian Education Project Helps Children, Community

The Asian Education Project is comprised of two components, each with its particular target population and activities, but both ultimately aimed towards the goal of increasing student involvement in the ever-growing Asian population in Los Angeles.

 

Materials Requested

The Center has many occasions to answer questions about community organizations and the services they provide.

Starting in the next issue of Cross Current, a calendar of events listing campus activities and community events of interest will be published.
