The census is an essential political event in regard to reapportionment.

This map shows how the recorded population that comes from the census will result in an are losing or gaining seats in the house of representatives.

This map shows that if the projected population is true for California it is likely that we will lose a seat in the house of representatives.

California receives nearly 113 billion in federal funding this chart shows all the organizations and benefits that rely on this funding to survive. Without an accurate count the state will not have adequate funding and these programs will not be able to serve the individuals that rely on them. This is one of the most important aspects of census involvement because it ultimately dictates the future of thousands of individuals that live within our state.
