Unforgettable Fire

This drawing shows a view from the Aioi bridge near the hypocenter in Hiroshima on the day after. "I looked toward the Honkawa Elementary School. All of the schoolchildren, who appeared to have been at a morning assembly in the schoolyard, were burned black, squatting in orderly lines, motionless. A relief party was removing the corpses." Kinu Kusata. From Unforgettable Fire.
