Yuri Kochiyama is an iconic figure in the Asian American community as a civil rights and social movement builder. We invite researchers, educators, counselors, students, and lifelong learners to learn about Yuri's journey for social justice through her rare and revealing documents and ephemera left for posterity.
Presenters will take you on a tour of:
- Exhibition tracing Yuri’s journey of politicization & growth to becoming an organizer & social movement activist
- New digital collections containing over 4,000 unique items from her collection housed at UCLA
- Resources and reflections to learn from Yuri and the life she led
