California Asian Pacific Islander
The Policy Summit was convened by the California Asian Pacific Islander Legislative Caucus in partnership with the
Asian Americans for Civil Rights and Equality (AACRE), Asian and Pacific IslandersCaliforniaAction Network (APIsCAN), California Asian Pacific Islander Caucus Institute, and the Commission on Asian and Pacific Islander American Affairs (CAPIAA). It will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 through Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at the Sacramento Convention Center in Sacramento, California. For the first time last year, a “Call for Workshops” was issued to the community. Due to overwhelming responses, they are again looking for workshop proposals. The deadline for the workshop submission is October 26, 2007.

UC Davis/ Sacramento Policy Research Conference
This policy conference will bring UC researchers and scholars interested in AAPI policy issues with state legislators and their staff members. Through dialogue, attendees will have a chance to develop collaborative and research partnerships with legislators. This discourse will then help to develop venues for identifying and implementing research impacting AAPI communities. The Policy Research Conference is to be held at the University of California, Davis on May 31, 2008.
