Twenty years after the 1992 Los Angeles Civil Unrest, a consortium of community organizations and schools will host a gathering on April 28, 2012. Speakers during the day-long symposium will examine the social, political and cultural implications of the riots. The event will also evaluate the future of Koreatown.

Him Mark Lai An Autobiography of a Chinese American Historian

The UCLA Asian American Studies Center in conjunction with the Chinese Historical Society of America has just released the first and only autobiography of Him Mark Lai (1925-2009), the renowned Dean of Chinese American History.
