Video: University of California's Secrecy About Atomic Bomb's Effects

Dr. James Yamazaki talks about the military and government efforts to suppress information about the human effects of the atomic bomb. This policy was formulated by the leading scientists who were involved at Los Alamos in developing the bomb.  The interview with Dr. Stafford Warren described by Dr. Yamazaki took place in September 1949 just before Yamazaki departed for Japan. (Dr. Warren was bound by the restrictions formulated at the California Institute of Technology by Drs. Oppenheimer, Lawrence, and other prominent scientists to ensure security at the time.)
