UCLA Asian American Studies Center:
The UCLA Asian American Studies Center, founded in 1969 is one of four ethnic studies center at UCLA. The Center does research in the social sciences and the humanities, public policy and urban planning, immigrant and labor history, public health and social welfare, literature and film studies; administers undergraduate curriculum and graduate programs; publishes the Amerasia Journal and develops other publications; works with student and community groups; and maintains one of the world's largest research archives in Asian American Studies.
Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics, Inc. (LEAP):
LEAP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, educational community organization founded in 1982 to develop, strengthen, and expand the leadership roles played by Asian Pacific Americans within their own communities as well as in mainstream institutions.
LEAP's mission to achieve full participation and equality for Asian Pacific Americans through leadership, empowerment, and policy is being realized through the creation of the nationally recognized Asian Pacific Public Policy Institute, the innovative Leadership Management Institute, and newly founded Community Development Institute.
